Tierney/Fahy

Hi, 

I am new to the site,  although I have been researching My Great Grandparents for a while now with some success.

My Maternal Grandmother was called Caecilia Tierney, her parents were John Tierney & Catherine Fahy, she married my Grt Grandfather Patrick Burke, who`s Father was Called Thomas Burke in St Michaels Church Ballinasloe in 1899, John her Father was listed on the Marriage Certificate as a Farmer as was Thomas the Father of Patrick.

Bother her Parents died within a few months of each other in 1898 and I have not been able to find either grave.

My Grt Grandparents lived in Manchester England where they went on to have 4 children, one being my Grandfather Thomas Burke, the last known details for them is the 1911 Census in which they both put that they were from Gorteenaveela.

I had help from the Clontuskert heritage group many years ago in identifying Brothers and Sisters of My Grt Grandmother, and I actually came to Ballinasloe in 2012 and saw the house where they lived, but this is as far as I have got and I cannot seem to go forward or backward. I would love eventually to meet some of my living relatives and hope that someone can help.
