I am trying to find a marriage record if it is at all possible of Timothy Quirk and Ellen Gallivan, but there are so many possibilities but not enough information to confirm the date or place of marriage. I haven't found their birth dates but did find a possible but just not enough proof it was correct. Possible dates for Timothy are birth about 1841 Rathas, Tralee, Ellen Gallivan possibly about 1845, Tralee, Co Kerry.  I also have the names and dates of the children. They are;

Catherine christened 23 May 1858. She emigrated to New Zealand and had a fourteen children to William Hunter.

Patrick 24 June 1860. He is a mystery as so far I have not found any information that connects him to his parents.

Mary 17 March 1862, She married William Hunter's brother Thomas and emigrated to New Zealand where eleven children were born

Edmund 16 April 1864 and emigrated to America. Have made contact through DNA matches

Timothy 17 August 1865. Another mystery and so far have not found any information for him

Ellen 13 13 May 1867. She emigrated to New Zealand and married Percy William Fogden

Johanna 4 July 1869. Another child that I am searching for further information.

Thomas baptised 13 August 1871, the fourth child that I cannot find any information

Bridget 4 June 1874 emigrated to America and married Cornelius Keane and had about seven children.

I have many questions for the four children. Did they die young, did they emigrate, did their parents emigrate with some of these children or did the parents die in Ireland.

Would be so grateful if someone could help with a lead to any of these queries

  • Baptism of Catherine 28th May 1858  Molahiffe, sponser's Patrick and Catherine Quirk.  So Timothy and Ellen lived in the parish of Molahiffe before moving to Tralee, (which is about 18km in distance ) in later years.
