Hello,
I am writing this on behalf of a friend;
She was born in Tralee in 1954 and for the fist 6-years of her life lived on a farm with her grandmother as her 17-year old mother abandoned her and went to live in England. Her birth was never registered and she never went to school. At sometime after her 6th birthday, her mother returned and took her back to England where she was then introduced to her step siblings and her 'new father'. Many yers later, she was told by her mother that her real father's name was Joseph Laffin and that he was deceasd.
She has recently gone down the DNA route but is still waiting for the results to go online.
If anyone can recall a Joseph Laffin in or around the Tralee area in the 1950's, any information will be greatly recieved.

Hi,
You could try directing your question at Kerry Historical Society https://www.kerryhistory.ie/ . They may have volunteers who will be able to access local records.
Good luck
