I am planning a trip to Ireland this summer and one of my DNA "cousins" whom I have emailed with for several years has offered to "show us around", primarily Galway. However, I would like to invite him to travel with us as a guide as we drive around the country and I am wondering how to approach this with him. I am willing to pay for his accomodations and meals. We will be a group of 4 adults and 2 young children and we will be about 10 days including N. Ireland.

Daniel:
Here is the Failte Ireland web site https://www.failteireland.ie/Commercial-development/trade-fam-sales-pla…
and in the middle of the page is a downloadable file with the names and contact info for approved tour guides. Some are local and others regional or national. National in this situation would be the Republic of Ireland. I did see at least one of the guides showing Northern Ireland also and likely there are more. I did not look at the entire list.
I doubt your "DNA cousin" would want to go to Northern Ireland but all you can do is ask.
