The religion is noted as Presbyterian what to me indicates that you are probably correct to think they hailed from Northern Ireland. There were far more Presb churches in the North then in the South of Ireland .
Did Aron marry, sometimes marriage certificates reveal more information about the person, like age and parents

It is possible that that was a nephew, as he & a brother supposedly came together. What history we have does not mention any children named Aron, & only a marriage in 1977, although a previous marriage is possible, I suppose...
South Simcoe is appropriate, but the information we have is the one we are tracing was born in Ireland in 1845
