Am looking for Hull ancestors who may have come to Ulster from Scotland during the plantation era of James VI- I,, and whose ancestors came to Pennsylvania, US in late 1600 or early 1700's

    Unfortunately the reality of  finding information/documentation from the 17th century is that it simply may not exist. Records keeping prior to 1800 was not a strongpoint in Ireland, and any records that do exist from the pre-1800 period are often fragmented.

     

    However, it may be an idea for you to contact the Ulster Historical Foundation for assistance as they may have the resources to carry out such research. It is important to be aware that a fee will probaly apply for their services. Here are their contact details:
