My Great Great Grandparents were born in Ireland and emigrated to Liverpool where my great grandfather was born. Their names were Joseph Whelan (born about 1811) and Mary Roache (born about 1821). They had three children in Taghmon parish, John, Catherine and Margaret before moving to Liverpool. I believe that Joseph's parents were Robert Whelan and Maria McBride. I am looking for any trace in Taghmon of their lives, their descendents, their children or other family who may still be in the area.

I received the information regarding Robert and Maria from someone who responded to a genetic match with me as a distant cousin. Her response was: The family were from Taghmon, County Wexford: Margaret Born 21st April 1802. Parents Robert Whelan and Maria McBride. Anne: Born 6thDecember 1803 (she was my gt gt grandmother, she married Martin French, 4th March 1832. They were parents of my gt grandfather, Robert French, Born 1837 (daughter Catherine French Born 1881, was my grand-mother, married Frank Pierce, Carne, Wexford. They had 7 children, including my father Laurence Pierce 1909-1963 Then there was Joamem (latin for John- I think ?) he was born 7th Sept 1807. JOSEPH Born 18th June 1810, and Bridget, Born14 February 1814.
It sounds like the same family but there appear to be more children than first three. I would love to confirm this. I am hoping to come to Wexford when things clear up and investigate more.
