Tulla 2018 "Reflections from Home and Abroad" now available for sale
Reflections from Home and Abroad, Tulla Reaching Out's 2018 Publication is now available for sale. This publication includes stories of local historical interest including Tulla's Famine Walk, Hedge Schools in Tulla and the story of Ann McNamara O'Donnell, a young woman from Glendree who emigrated to New Zealand's Gold Coast. Also of interest are some of the stories from the Folklore collection taken in 1937. The publication also includes school photos, old postcards and the 1918 commemorative events from World War I, Irish proverbs, riddles and newspaper extracts from 150, 125 and 100 years ago covering the years of 1868, 1893 and 1918.
