TG4 is known as the home of Traditional Irish music, with a year-round Trad music slot in the schedule on Sunday evenings, and a steady stream of new programmes, from documentaries, to musical profiles, to live concert broadcasts.
TG4 broadcasts two major music events each year: Gradam Ceoil, the Oscars of Traditional Irish Music; and a 4 day Live broadcast from FLEADH CEOIL na hÉireann each year. This year in the absence of Fleadh Ceoil, due to Covid19, TG4 plans a virtual musical celebration of Fleadh Ceoil na hÉireann.
