1916 and TULLA CONNECTIONS

There were four men who played a part in the events that took place in Dublin during the Easter Rising. They were: Dan Canny Joseph Canny Michael O'Dea Cornelius (Con) O'Halloran Attached are their profiles and the units that they served in during that time.

Bluebell time at Golden Grove Woods

Come and enjoy nature's annual exhibition during the month of May and see the Bluebell spectacular. Golden Grove Woods provide an enjoyable walk free to all. Access is at the rear of Dromakeenan School on the Birr Road a mile out of Roscrea town.

Letterkenny's 'Cathedral Quarter'

When: Wednesday, 4 May, 2016

The proposed end envisages that Church Lane would encompass craft shops with local goods and services  along with an interpretative centre in the heart of Letterkenny. A lot of research has been undertaken in the area, in particular on the history of the Church Lane.

Beara Peninsula Database launched

This three-volume work provided researchers and Beara descendants with access to genealogical information, mostly around the Catholic parishes of Adrigole, Allihies, Castletownbere, Eyeries, and Glengarriff.
