This three-volume work provided researchers and Beara descendants with access to genealogical information, mostly around the Catholic parishes of Adrigole, Allihies, Castletownbere, Eyeries, and Glengarriff.

Calling the ‘Galway Tribal Diaspora'!

The Galway based heritage organisation is launching a new initiative entitled ‘The Galway Tribal Diaspora Project’ which aims to collect and record the stories of former Galway residents  who have gone on to continue their life story beyond Irish shores.

When: Wednesday, 8 July, 2015

Registers.nli.ie make available online, for free, records of marriages and baptisms (and some burial records) from the NLI collection. Launching the website today, An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny stated it was an "important day for our country, our people and our soul".

English Naming Patterns within the family unit
