The Economist highlights Ireland Reaching Out's work

Ireland's First Global Civic Forum

The first event of its kind, Ireland Reaching Out was priviliged to be a participant at this forum and to be able to discuss matters of identity, heritage and sense of place with others working with the Diaspora community - both in Ireland and abroad.

Tuam and Brisbane Connect

Brisbane and Tuam connected this month when Rick Estella and his wife Elizabeth traveled to the north Galway town to visit the place where Rick's great, great, grandfather, Stephen Phillips worked on the railway.

New support for local diaspora projects

The new Diaspora fund recognises the importance of assisting local Irish communities create and maintain relationships with people of Irish descent throughout the world, helping to connect them back to their parishes and counties of origin in Ireland.
