Located in Southeast County Limerick bordering on the Cork parish of Kildorrery, the rural parish of Glenroe & Ballyorgan is part  of the Ballyhoura region which is known for adventure holidays and hill walking. Glenroe corresponds to the civil parish of Darragh and Ballyorgan corresponds to the Civil parish of Kilflyn in Griffith's Valuation.
