I am an American expat residing in Ireland and working as a genealogy and historical researcher. I have been involved in my family genealogy research for over 30 years. I have a B.S. degree in Accounting from Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT and I am a qualified Solicitor and non-practising member of the Law Society of Ireland. I have completed my M.A.in Local History from University of Limerick and I am presently a PhD candidate at Mary Immaculate College in Limerick. I am a Chairperson of the Clare Roots Society, as well as a volunteer with Ireland Reaching Out and a Tulla member of that organisation. I also belong to a variety of local historical organisations in Counties Clare and Limerick. My previous legal experience has given me an interest in the land research in Ireland and probate records that can often uncover valuable family information. In addition, I have a special interest in newspaper research, and I have used this source for not only thesis work, but also genealogical research.

My love of genealogy began back in my teen years from both my grandmother and my mother’s interests in tracing and learning more about their family history. To this end, my areas of interest include tracing the diaspora links between Irish ancestral communities and their new communities in the U.S.  I have worked on a variety of transcription projects including the Historic Graves project, Clare Roots Society Transcription projects including the Clare Champion Biographical Notices, the Clooney Graveyard transcription and the Clonlea Death Register from 1843-1878.

I am available for house research, consultations, land research for a particular area and specific areas of research upon request.  I also conduct genealogy day tours for those who want to retrace their ancestor’s footsteps.

I am also available for Zoom consultations as well as Zoom talks for genealogy group and local historical societies.
