Killaloe, the former seat of Brian Boru, High King of Ireland, is situated on the crossing of the Shannon River between counties Clare and Tipperary. The 13th Century St Flannan's Cathedral is just a stones throw from Kincora House, as are numerous shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants.
Due to it's situation, just a few miles from the M7 motorway, Killaloe provides an excellent base for touring the Midlands and West of Ireland with the picturesque Ring of Lough Derg, The Spirit of Killaloe pleasure cruise, angling, surf boarding and sailing all centred on Lough Derg. The surrounding countryside provides a walkers paradise with short and long loops in hillside woodlands or on quiet back roads for either a gentle stroll or a vigorious hike.
