We have researched many families from the parish of Kilbarron Terryglass and Finnoe on a personal basis and also through the very successful Ireland Reaching Out platform, of which we are both volunteers. We are both also involved in the local Historical Society.

In 2015 we began a project tracing emigration from our own parish and surrounds to Canada from 1815 onwards with the main focus on Ontario.

In 2016 we launched the project with the Canadian ambassador to Ireland and published a detailed journal of the individuals and their families. This project is ongoing and contact and enquiries continue to this day.

We were both born in the parish and have a detailed knowledge of the various branches and the offshoots of the families of the area.

Over the past 15 years our research has allowed us to build up a knowledge of the area that is vital in following up queries from the diaspora.

Our aim is to try and reconnect the diaspora with the area that their ancestors came from. Our initial search will be a basic search free of charge and if someone wishes to progress further, we will advise of costs related to same.

We meet and greet visitors where it is at all possible.
