William Butler Yeats is a world-renowned poet and dramatist who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1923. He always acknowledged the inspiration he drew from his beloved Sligo landscape across five decades of his writing. For sixty years,Yeats Society Sligo has celebrated the life and work of the poet and his talented family. Our doors are always open to those who love the arts and who are keen to continue celebrating the Yeats family and those poets, artists and writers who have drawn inspiration from them. Visit our Yeats Exhibition, Gift Shop and Yeats Society Office: Open: Monday to Saturday from 11am - 4pm (Sunday: closed). Entrance Fees Yeats Exhibition Fee: €3 (Includes exhibition leaflet, Yeats card, and guided tour.)
