Ahoghill and Cullybackey are two different places, each with several churches. To find out where the marriage took place you should obtain a copy of the civil marriage certificate. The marriage was registered in Ballymena in 1846 Volume 2, page 101. The church will be named on the certificate. Tradition was to marry in the bride?s church so that would be the place to look for her baptism and that of any siblings.
John?s father appears to have been named James and Nancy?s John.
James McBride seems to be listed in Griffiths Valuation for 1862 on plot 33b where he had a house and small garden. However he doesn?t seem to have stayed there too long after that as he does not appear in the later revaluation records for Craigs. There are about 10 James McBride deaths in the period 1864 to 1900 registered in Ballymena, all of which could fit your man.
There was a John Porter born c 1818 whose death was registered in Ballymena in 1868. Might be connected to your family.
