Statutory birth registration only started in Ireland in 1864 so you won?t get a birth certificate for Aitchison Oliver. You might find his baptism but to do that you would need to know his exact denomination. Do you know that?

Not all church records from the early 1800s have survived, but where they do, copies are held in PRONI (the public record office), Belfast. (Few of them are on-line and a personal visit is usually required to go through them).

Hi Kathy,

The search on births / baptisms www.rootsireland.ie for William Oliver born 1780 + or - 10 years in Antrim and Down yielded one match which is attached.

The result of a search in the same counties for those years for Mary Moor found 1 match which is also attached. I couldn't get a record of their marraige however.

It's difficult to know whether these are you William and Mary as there is an 11 year age gap and Moor is spelt Moore. However they are the only ones that come up in the search. 

You need to purchase the record (a few $) in order to get parents' names and the parishes in which the baptisms took place.
