I am looking for form my 3rd great grandmother Bridget Devlin born 13 May 1833 in Antrim, Ireland, to James Devlin and Margaret Muman.  I have 3 different last names for Margaret, Muman, Mourin, and Numan.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

  • I can’t find a Bridget Devlin baptism in 1833 in Co. Antrim on Ancestry’s RC baptism records. Nearest match was on 7.3.1834 in Kilbroney, Co Down to James Devlin & Margaret Morgan. Not all RC parishes have records for the 1830s so there is a possibility that no record exists for Bridget’s baptism. Without knowing where to search in the county, it may be difficult to trace her. Devlin is a fairly common surname in Co. Antrim, You might need to try DNA testing to locate the family today.

  • Elwyn,

I am trying the DNA, but havne't had much luck there either.  I also had found the 1834 date with James and Margaret Morgan, I found it on Find my Past.  Which could possible be her, because there are other siblings included but I still looking for one more sibling. I will continue looking.

    ThankYou, Diane
