I am searching for information re my husband's gggrandfather, OLIVER MAXWELL, who was transported to NSW, Australia, from Dublin on 28.11.1827. for having received stolen goods. He was tried at Antrim on 18.10.1837 and his age at this time was listed as 16 suggesting a birth year of c. 1821.
From a death notice in a NSW newspaper, I believe he had a brother Robert who migrated to Australia (he died here) and a brother William who was in Glasgow.

Hi,
The National Archives of Ireland has a searchable database that will allow you to find this data
http://findingaids.nationalarchives.ie/index.php?category=18&subcategory=147 from there you should be able to locate actual case files which could give more details on area etc...
Another link at this site gives more indepth information on what can be found, where to find it and a more in-depth explanation of the system.
