I have always been told that the surname Bryson came to the US from County Antrim. My direct line ancestor was William Bryson who married Isabella Holmes. He supposedly migrated with his brothers before the American Revolutionary War. I have visited Belfast and saw on a map that there are many roads, streets, parks, etc. named Bryson. It is obviously a common name there. I am seeking more information about my Bryson heritage.
I also have direct line ancestors named Crawford, Kenney, and Ross. I am hoping to extend my genealogy research to confirm my many Irish roots and identify more generations.
Thank you,
Nelma Jean Bryson

Hi
Thank you for your message.
Have you any other information regarding your ancestors? Please post as much information as you can regarding the people you are researching as this will better enable volunteers to assist you. please also include what sources you have already used for information so there is no duplication of work.
Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.
Kind regards,
