My Lindsays were living in Taylorstown in the 1700s and are buried in Templemoyle Old Graveyard, Ballyscullion. Does anyone know if there's ever been anything written on the history of Taylorstown and its Scottish and English settlers?

Taylorstown itself is just a townland and I am not aware of any history of that small area. However the general history of Co Antrim is well documented. The county was heavily settled in the 1600s by Scots and English settlers. The majority of the incomers were Scots, whose descendants can fairly easily be identified by the fact that they are Presbyterian, and by the fact they have Scottish surnames.
If you look at the 1901 Irish census for Taylorstown, you will find 487 people listed of whom the vast majority (280) were Presbyterian. There were 60 Church of Ireland and 63 RC. There were also some Brethren who would also generally be of Scottish origin.

So the majority of the people living there were of Scottish origin, but you should be able to work out whether yours were by their surname and religious denomination.
