Peter Mcguigan is my great great grandfather - i know he was born in Magheragall from his army record. (Army service corps) He married Jane O'kane 3 jun 1853 in st patricks church belfast. His Army record states he was a weaver bc 1835 in Magheragall. His children are Martha Ann born in Ireland 1854, John, Thomas and Margaret my great grandmother in 1865. he joined army in 1856, prior to that he was in the north downs militia. He. died in woolwich in 1892. I have no record of his birth or parentage as all my attempts have failed.

Hi Sandra,
There is a record of the marriage of Peter Macguigan & Jane O'Kane on www.rootsireland.ie/
The parish is Belfast R C.
rootsireland is a pay site so the record will cost but is cheaper than the GRO and you get it as soon as you pay - $7 or $8 I think. It should have the fathers' names.
Martha's birth record is there but not the other 3. The parish of Martha's record is St Patrick's Belfast RC.
The only record of Peter McGuigan 1835 is Peter McGoogan born 1835 in Tyrone.
Griffiths Valuation (free to search & done in 1861-2 in Antrim) has 42 McGuigans in Antrim.
