Thanks to the Special Collections team at Queen's University Belfast (QUB), maps of Ulster dating from c.1594 to 1609 can now be viewed freely online.
First published in 1861, the "Maps of the Escheated Counties of Ireland, 1609" atlas is the newest digital addition to the QUB Special Collection online. Among the 31 facsimiles of maps of Ireland dating from c.1594 to 1609, in this collection are:
- Bartlett’s Maps of Ulster;
- the Bodley Maps;
- The Siege of Enniskillen Castle map by John Thomas 1594
- an index and a letter relating to the plantation mapping in 1609.
