My great grandmother Margaret Warnock came from Corkley county Armagh born 5th December 1886 died 1941 in Glasgow
her parents my great great granparents were James warnock (farm labourer) and Jane Graham Warnock no more details on them.
Margaret warnock married my great grandfather Francis Sloan on the 30th July 1889 in Glasgow.
I am trying to find out which part of Ireland he came from.
From reletaives it was assumed he came from Donegal but I have tried with no sucess searching the records .
It may well be that he also came from Corkley I know he was born in 1862 died in 1931 in Glasgow.
Like to know more about the area around these times .
Many Thanks for any help

Corkley is a townland in Keady civil parish. I checked the 1864 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Keady civil parish. There were four Warnock entries in Corkley townland but no James or Jane. You will also note there are two Sloan entries.

Can you clarify the year Margaret was born since if she married in 1889, she would not have been born in 1886.
I looked on Roots Ireland for an 1862 baptismal record for a Francis Sloan. I searched in all of Ireland but Roots did not have a record. The closest record was an 1858 record in Co. Down.
