The marriage of Thomas Cross and  Margaret Trueman was recorded in Killyman parish records as by license, on         21 April 1820.  I have traced the Cross family, but would like to learn  more of the Trueman family.

  • Hi there,

Do you already have a copy of the marriage record? Did the record give you other information such as names?

Please make sure you link anyone else in your family who is interested in their Irish heritage to our site - and indeed anyone else you know of Irish heritage.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi Doreen, I hope you are well. I realise it is 10 years since you posted this so you may not be active on here, but I have Trueman roots in the area and I would be very interested to know what you have found about this family. In particular, John Trueman (Margaret's father) is my ancestor and I'm really keen to find out more about him. Perhaps we have information that would be of use to each other. I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I hope to hear from you, thanks.

  • Hello Rob

Don't look at this forum often, but did so recently and noticed your post.

I have a female Tru(e)man in one of my lines who I suspect originated in Killyman area, albeit migrated to England mid 1800s.

Would be happy to chat further. As there is no private message option on Ireland XO that I am aware of, you can contact me via my username scotmum, at www.rootschat.com .

  • Thanks scotmum. I did try finding you on rootschat but the site doesn't seem to let me message you directly! Do feel free to drop me a message via email at robertpollockbfs@gmail.com - happy to share what I know on the Truemans and to discuss further! Thanks :)
