I am hoping someone may have some information or be able to help me with the Devlin family.
On my Devlin side of the tree I have gotten back to a Henry Devlin, I am interested in him as he is the link of all the Devlin's in the town I am from.
I have all the information on who he married and his children, but I can't trace his parents. I found his military records, and this is what brought him to Cork but on the records it states he was born in 1826 in Loughgall. I can't find any church records for that time unfortunately, but was hoping someone may have some information.
Thank you!
Kate

Henry Devlin b. 1826 in Loughgall does not appear on rootsireland for anywhere in Co. Armagh. However, instances of "Henry Devlin" appearing in this parish which may give some leads:
In 1837, a Henry Devlin married Anne Gordon in the RC parish of Loughgall in 1837 (both Catholic). Children: Mary Anne b1837, Patrick b1839, Sarah b1841, James b1844, John 1846 (RIP) & John Devlin b1848. Henry's siblings were: Terence Devlin, John Devlin m. Catherine Daly, Mary Devlin and Anne Devlin, Catherine Devlin m. Raymond O'Hanlon, Rose Devlin, Jane Devlin. In the Griffiths Valuation of Loughgall, a Henry Devlin was recorded in the townland of Corr & Dunavally, as were his siblings James Devlin and John Devlin. The Flax Growers records of 1796 only record one Devlin in the parish of Loughgall – a John Devlin.
In 1845 Bernard Devlin married Margaret Campbell (siblings: Michael Devlin, Owen Devlin, Mary Devlin, Catherine Devlin). In 1847 they baptised a Henry Devlin in the RC parish of Loughgall then disappearing off record.
Hope this helps!
