John Murdock and Martha Milsop were married 9 December 1852 in the parish church at Loughall.
John was a weaver by profession and his father, also john, was a farmer.
Martha came from Teaguy (Teagy), her father , William Milsop, was also a famer.
They had a son, William James Murdock , born 1865, who came to Australia sometime before 1891.
I would appreciate any help as I have hit a brick wall with nmy research.

Birth of William James Murdock registered in Armagh city 1865 volume 16, page 166. If you get a copy of that certificate it should tell you which townland the family were in at that time.
You can order a photocopy from GRO Roscommon for ?4 per certificate. Put the place, year, quarter (where there is one), volume & page number on the application form (anywhere). Don?t worry about leaving some boxes blank. You don?t need to fill them all in if you have the reference details. http://www.groireland.ie/ You have to post or fax the form to them but they will e-mail the copy certificate to you if you wish. Tick the relevant box on the form.
24 households in Teagy in 1901. 1 Milsop household:

William?s age means he may be Martha?s father. The revaluation records show that William had plot 26 in Teagy which was a house, and 1.5 acres of land. (So just enough land for a labourer to grow some vegetables to support his family). It remained in his name from 1864 until 1905 when it changed to James Livingston.

You can see exactly where the property was located by using the maps attached to the Griffiths Valuation site:

Here?s some of the 1901 Milsop family in 1911 in Brughas townland. Looks as though the parents may have died, though I can?t see deaths for any of them.. The 14 year old is the head of the family. Must have been hard going.

Possible death for Wm Murdock jr, registered Lurgan Apr ? Jun 1907 Vol 1, page 537. Est year of birth 1872.
Looked for death of Martha Murdock (nee Milsop). Possible registered Lurgan 1870 Vol 6, page 545. Est year of birth 1828.
John Murdock snr is a bit too common to trace his death without some idea of when he died. The 1852 marriage certificate should have John Murdock?s townland. With that you can search the valuation records and see where the farm was and when he died or left.
