Magheralin which is known to be plain of the pool is on the road from moira to lurgan situated beside the river lagan. 1144 people are living in the parish. Most of this area is in the County of Armagh and some of it is in Down. In an old village graveyard is a parish church built in the 1840s, most churches these days in Ireland are usually built around that particular time. There is a well known song which takes place with bands in pubs around the town of Magheralin, its called The Ducks of Magheralin. The band is known as the Glenfolk Four but this song is traced back to the 1916 rising between the English & Irish rebellion.
