I am interested in the ancestors and descendents of Patrick Harkin and Rose Quigg and their about 13 children especially Hugh J. Harkins born about 1854 and his brother Daniel Harkins who both ended up in Brooklyn New York married to sisters; the aforesaid Hugh also with a large family of 11 and married to Ellen Howard.  They were from Upper Moville and Glencrow (where my grandmother, theri daughter, visited as a young child in the 1890's. There were many comings and goings of the family but no specific details are to be had.

    I did a search for Moville and Glencrow at www.logainm.ie and both are in Co. Donegal..

    My name is Judy Smith and I am also looking for my relatives from Moville named Harkins. My mom's maiden name is Harkins and she and her dad were born in Brooklyn! I was born there, too, actually. My grandfather was Walter Elliot Bernard Harkins and his father, my great grandfather was named Patrick and he was from Moville. He married in Ireland and had some children in Ireland before moving to England and then Brooklyn. I am visiting Ireland in early May 2016 and it would be great to meet. I can't imagine there are too many Harkins from this small town who are not related! There is also some mention of Sligo but I'm trying to figure how that figures in... Maybe where my great grandmother was born? 

    My mom's mother was Veronica Cotter born In Brooklyn In 1904. Her mom was born in blackrock, CORK near The river Lee so I Will also be visiting blackrock, Too. Batholomew Cotter married Mary Angela ______??_____. Duggan maybe
