I am looking for a edward robison or robinson born ab 1816 he was a shoemaker  he imigrated to ontario canada sometime in the 1830s he was a methodist

    You could check out some of the early directories for the county in the Public Record Office (PRONI) - even if you search for shoemaker and see what pops up:

    A good number of methodist records are held on microfilm on PRONI but you can also contact local chapels to find out if they have the relevant registers. Most though don't start until the 1830/40s so maybe too late for your search: http://www.irishmethodist.org/find-church
