Hi Everyone

I am looking for any information on the family of Mulligan that lived in Mullaghbrack in the County of Armagh Ireland.

I have a Bernard Mulligan that was married to Margaret McCann. They had four boys: Robert, James, Patrick and Bernard. I am unable to confirm whether there were three sisters as well. Their names are believed to be Peggy, Rose and Kathleen.

The other family that I am trying to find information on is the McGuire family from Mullaghbrack in the County of Armagh Ireland. Their names are Henry McGuire and his wife Elizabeth (nee McConnell). They had a daughter called Ann.

.If anyone could be of assistance in regards to finding information on these families it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Kerry:

Can you advise what time period the Mulligans and McGuires were in Mullaghbrack? I did see a 1901 census record for a Bernard Mulligan in Drumfergus townland in Mullaghbrack civil parish.

  • Hi,

Bernard Mulligan was my 3rd great grandfather, I have 7 children listed for him & Margaret McCann. The names you have listed are the same as I have unfortunately I do not have information on the later 4 of the children.

    Cheers

  • Hi Ray,

    Thank you for contacting me.

I have recently moved & all my family history information is stored in the garage.  All I can tell you at present is Bernard Mulligan & Margaret McCann where my 3x great grandparents. They lived in Mullaghbrack Armagh Co & apparently were flax farmers. His son Robert emigarted to Australia with his children.

I have hit a brick wall when it comes to researching the Mulligan's in Ireland. Any information you are willing to offer would be greatly appreciated.
