There are two Burtonhall Demesne townlands in northwest Carlow. One is in Urglin civil parish and the other Killerrig civil parish which are next to each other. You did not mention the religious denomination. The RC parish for the area is Tullow and Tullow records are on Roots Ireland back to the late 1700s. I did a search for the baptismal records and did not find any records. If the Higgins family was not RC, the records would not be available on Roots.

I also checked the Tithe listings and did not find a Daniel Higgins record.
