I am assisting a friend who is researching an ancestor named above. His British Army enlistment papers, in Leith,Edinburgh1914,shows clearly that his place of birth is Bagenalstown,Co. Carlow. Army papers birth dates differ between 1898/1901.His parents were Richard Lloyd and Annie McKenzie. We have been unable to locate his birth or any information on his parents. I am unsure of the family's religion at that time. Following his army service he settled in Glasgow. In 1914 he gave his next of kin as an aunt,Mrs. Mary Keogh Brighton Gardens,Terenure,Dublin. Also unable to make any connection with this person.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I searched for civil birth records for Patrick Lloyd from 1890-1915 and although there were records, none had the parents you listed. I also searched on Roots Ireland with no success. I found no records for any children of Richard Lloyd and Annie McKenzie.

I checked the 1911 census for Mary Keogh in Co. Dublin. There were 236 Mary Keoghs.I did not see Brighton Gardens but saw a record on Brighton Avenue.
