www.askaboutireland.ie is a good site to explore the griffiths including a view of the area today.

Hello Enda       I also found  the record showing    house and land number and letter of ref. to map as 33A .   area   A-R-P     of house and land  a-11  r-o   p-16    and then just land  a-6 p-1  r-4 not sure what this refers to but you never know .  Thks Again John O'Brien

Hello Rodger Just a note to thank you for your help,we met up with Enda as planned and he went over the top for us.Enda provided a personal tour of the area and introduced us to some of the locals along the way, followed by tea at his home.The highlite of the day was a stroll up to the O'Brien plot of land farmed by my 3rd great grampa Charlie and refered to this day as Charlies ground.
