I'm looking for info on the Brady family who ran the post office in Ballyknockan Town.
1901 cen data list:
Residents of a house 11 in Ballyknockan Town (Fennagh, Carlow)
1. Brady James 75 Catholic Cavan Postmaster
2. Brady Alice 55 Female Wife
3. Brady Sarah 24 Female
4. Brady Susan 22 Female

The 1901 cen data lists:
Residents of a house 10 in Ballyknockan Town (Fennagh, Carlow)

1, Brady Alice 76 Female Roman Catholic Co Tipperary -Widow.
2.Brady Sarah 26 Female Roman Catholic - Postmistress
3. Brady Susan 24 Female RC P O Assistant.

Other things I know about them:
James Brady was ex RIC (I have his service records etc) born in Bellananagh Co, Cavan and died july 1903.

They had 7 children of which 6 were alive. I know about Sarah and Susan from the Centre data, I also know about a son Terry.

I know James had an older brother Thomas and a much younger sister Roseanne together with two unnamed brothers who worked as auctioneers in Cavan.

Can anyone help me with my next move?

    Sorry, you did not hear back.

    I was unable to find the marriage record on Roots Ireland. I found an 1871 baptismal record for Susan Brady. See record below. Likely she was understatting her age on the two census reports. In addition to Susan, Roots had baptismal records for Rose 1857 John 1858 Alice 1860 Mary 1860. I also located a likely death record for Alice in 1913.
