Greetings, it would be greatly appreciated If you can assist with some questions i have:

1. What is the origin/meaning of Ullard?

2. Which century was Ullard settled, by how many families if more than one would the settlers initially have been referred to as de Ullard? O

3. Is the modern surname of Dullard an Anglo-Norman error for de Ullard?

4. Why was a statue from Ullard taken to Leinster Church, and the belief that it granted wishes to those who pray beneath it except those from its origin lands? Was the first settlers of Ullard Drouin?

5. Did St Fiachre leave any memoir of his time and the people of Ullard?

Im looking for information on the likely origin of Dullard, I believe it is ancient Gaelic days. Anybody with knowledge on this please email me mjdullard@hotmail.com

Thankyou.
