Tradition was to marry in the bride?s church so usual advice would be to search Castleterra parish records for Sophia?s baptism and that of her siblings. However Castelterra has no baptisms earlier than 1877. The earlier records were probably lost in the 1922 fire in Dublin so you won?t be able to explore that option.

Griffiths Valuation for 1857 shows William Humphreys with a farm, outbuildings and 34 acres on plot 6 in Kilnacreeve. He also had 9 acres of land on plot 12, including some land on what looks to be Rabbit Island. That farm would be easy enough to locate today, should you wish to do so. It?s about 1 mile east of Butler?s Bridge.

Griffiths also shows Henry, Eliza, Benjamin and Joseph all with properties in Kilnacreeve at the same time. To follow through and see when each left (or died) you would need to use the revaluation books at the Valuation Office in Dublin. They are not on-line.

Going back to the tithe applotment records for 1828, Kilnacreeve had a Thomas Humphreys farming there. He was the only Humphreys listed there at that time and had 30 acres.

Thomas Moore?s is also listed in Griffiths for 1857 with a house, outbuilding and garden (3 roods 22 perches). Plot 12 in Redhill village which is in Knockroe townland. He had died or moved by the time of the 1901 census.
