My Great grand parents Joe Rountree & wife Jane Smith left for New Zealand in 1863. Would like to know if house/farm is still existing? Any family contacts still around?
As far as the Drumnagress property is concerned (Walter Roundtree ? plot 16 in Griffiths), looking at Google earth I can see that there is certainly some sort of structure there. Whether it?s a farmhouse or juts some outbuildings is hard to say.
There does appear to still be houses on both the Campstown farms (Plots 10 & 18). Possibly modern replacement buildings.
