My Great Grand Mother was Ellen Drummond born in 1858 in County Cavan, her mother's name was Ann Mullin born about 1830 and Ellen's father was Andrew Drummond born abt. 1830. Ellen had a brother Patrick and Thomas and 2 sisters Annie Drummond and Mary Drummond/Frome. I believe Ellen arrived in the USA in 1876. I am interested in birth certificates if possible.

Full civil registration of births, marriages and deaths did not begin until 1864 so only church records are available for someone born in 1858. I looked on Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie for a baptismal record for Ellen. I checked for 1853-1863 in Co. Cavan. There were three in that period but none had a father named Andrew.
