Hello! I am looking for any information on the Latimer family. My 4thggfather came to the US in 1805. William Latimer (1769- 1843) was married to Mary Kenedy and had 3 sons. He married Mary Brown (1784-1846) after his first wife died in 1797. From the history I got from my dad, the first 3 sons stayed in Ireland. I would love any information about any of these families. Thank you!

Hi Ann, I don't know how many Latimer families resided in County Cavan back in the 1700/1800s but there are quite a few in the 1901 Census. I am aware of a Latimer family residing at Ashfield, Cootehill in more recent times. This family go back at least three or four generations, connected with Ashfield Church of Ireland (Anglican).
