My Grandfather James McDonald was from Cootehill and born in August 1862

My Grandmother Mary McDonald was also reportedly from Coothill and was born March 28, 1964

Although they apparently had the same last name I am told they never knew each other in Ireland but met after they both came to the United States around 1883.

I know nothing about their parents, siblings or anything else. I never knew either of them as they passed on before my birth. The info I know came from US Census records from around 1900.Ireland Reaching Out - www.irelandxo.com

    I went to www.familysearch.org and found this baptismal index record for a Mary Anne McDonald. There were at least two other Mary McDonald baptisms in the area but this record had the date closest to your date.
