I am looking for information regarding my great-grandmother Margaret McGovern and her family. She was born 27 Nov 1873 in County Cavan. Her parents were Francis "Frank" McGovern and Margaret "Lizzie" Dolan. She had a sister Catherine and a brother Peter (born 1878).

Rootsireland & familysearch both have a marriage between Francis Magauran (a common alternative spelling of McGovern) and Eliza Dolan in Bawnboy, Cavan 1874, volume 13, page 35. Don?t know whether this is your couple as it is obviously after Margaret?s birth.
There?s a birth for Peter McGovern in Bawnboy Jul ? Sept 1878 Vol 3, page 52. Probably worth getting that to see the townland, and whether it matches the 1874 certificate.
Two Margaret McGovern births in 1873 in Bawnboy. Vol 13, page 51 & Vol18 page 54.
2 Catherine McGovern births in Bawnboy around that time, one in 1874 & the other 1876.

Hello I am also looking for a Dolan/ McGovern connection. My Ancestors are Michael Dolan who married Bridget McGovern/Magauran in 1850 Parish Outeragh R C County Leitrim. Don't really know their birth dates probably 1820's.
