I am interested in learning more about my NAYE and GIBSON families in Ireland.
James NAYE was born about 1840. His parents were James NAYE and Margaret GIBSON. From a Power of Attorney document from Margaret to daughter Lizzie, Edergol/Edregol is mentioned.
James had siblings Samuel born about 1839, Mary Jane born 1846, Elizabeth born 1851 and Sarah born about 1855, all in Ireland. All of the children came to America but the parents stayed in Ireland.
I would like to find more information on James NAYE, Margaret GIBSON, their parents, siblings, if any, and the their children. Also to make contact with any living NAYE's or GIBSON's who might be related.

There about nine different Edergole townlands in Ireland across six different counties: Cavan (2), Donegal(2), Fermanagh, Leitrim (2), Monaghan and Tyrone.
Based on a review of the Griffiths and assuming James the father was still alive and leasing land, there is a possibility that your family came from either Knockbride or Larah parish in Co. Cavan. The parishes are side by side.
I lean towards the James in Larah parish because I was unable to find any baptismal records on Roots Ireland. I did not know the religious denomination for your family but the RC records for Larah start in 1876 and Knockbride in 1835. This would point to Larah as the parish.
On the other hand you will notice a lot of Gibsons in Knockbride. Likely Margaret was from that parish.
You have a little more work to do to determine the correct townland and parish.
Let me know if you have questions.

Thank you Roger. I am leaning more towards Larah being the correct Parish. As for religion, I can't say what they were in Ireland but since none were Catholic in America I am going to guess they were Protestant. Would the Church of Ireland have, birth, marriage and death records for 1860 and before?

There was no C of I church in Larah. There was a C of I church in Knockbride and the records for that church are on Roots back to 1825. However when I search for Ney baptisms, I get no record.

Thanks again, Roger. I guess I should be looking for them in Knockbride instead of Larah.

I would not dismiss Larah. I did some further checking and there appears to be a Church of Ireland church in Larah currently. See this link. Go down to the parish of Drung.
