My grandmother Mary Travers b abt 1884, came from Arvagh, co. Cavan according to the ship record on her crossing to NYC and her brother Matthew's US WW1 draft card too. yet on the 1901 Irish census, her brothers John(b 23 Jun 1879) & Patrick(b 17 Jan 1881) were born in Aghabrack, co. Longford. This is I think just a difference in spelling for the town, but the co. is confusing me. My hope is to clarify this, and that she had family still in Ireland that she wrote to about her husband, my grandfather Francis Harris Esmonde. He's the one I can't find info on. I would like to have birth records for each of them.
The ship manifest shows Mary coming to America with 4 other girls from Arva & 1 child. This may be of interest to other researchers from this area of Ireland.
Ship name: Majestic leaving from Queenstown Aug. 4, 1904. Traveling with Mary McDonald, 43; chid Bessie, 11; Mary Connor,17; Mary A.(or O') Reilly,18; Mary Reilly,17; and gram, Mary Travers,19; all from Arva, Ireland.

Thanks Col but this is not the family i am looking for. I am looking for a Peter Brady who was born sometime between 1798 and 1802. As he was convicted in Louth I suspect he lived somewhere near there.
Regards

Thanks, This appears to be the info I've been looking for. I have a copy of the 1901 census, I'll look for a Margaret age 12-13 on it. Your help is very appreciated. gvefleming
