I have an ancestor born in Crusheen about 1821. He married Bridget BARRY from County Mayo prior to 1850. He later moved to Australia some time after 1858. One of his sons, also Richard Gill was born in Ennis Clare in 1850.
I would appreciate any information about him, his wife and his ancestors.
Thank you for your assistance.

No sign that I could find of a baptism for Richard, but I did manage to locate a baptism of a probable brother named Thomas, baptised in the Catholic Parish of 'Doora and Kilraghtis', the month is uncertain but the year is 1845. See this page (two thirds of the way down on the right hand page)
The parish of Doora and Kilraghtis is located to the north east of the parish of Drumclift/Ennis.
In the same parish there's a possible marriage for Patrick Gill and 'Bridgett' Barry on the 28th February 1841. (see the right hand page towards the end)

Thanks for your reply Shane. It looks like it could be their marriage and the birth of a son a little later. I will keep working on it.
