X-PO Killinaboy
Pat Cronin’s talk at the X-PO on March 15th will present an overview of a unique archaeological monument the Irish souterrain - their age, origins, usage and locations.
The souterrain is for the most part normally hidden from public view.
Pat has been addicted to all aspects of the underground world since the late 1960s. This consuming passion has taken him worldwide affording him the rare privilege of visiting depths within the Earth where no other human has ever walked before.
Apart from exploring caves and climbing mountains, Pat serves as a volunteer officer in the Doolin Unit of the Irish Coast Guard. He also serves as a Rescue Warden in the Irish Cave Rescue Organization. Of family from County Cork and Dublin, Pat lives in Doolin with his wife Pauline.
This rare talk on a fascinating aspect of Ireland’s underground heritage will take place in the community hub, X-PO Killinaboy, on Thursday March 15th at 8.30 p.m.
