The 1821-1851 census returns were almost destroyed in a fire, the 1861-1891 census returns were destroyed by the Government. The 1901-1911 census returns are available on line free of charge on line on the National Archives of Ireland website.
Kilmanaheen and its history
In the Barony of Corcomroe opn the Ennis-Milltown-Malbay Road on the bay of Liscannor, Diocese of Kilfenora. Patron Saint of the parish is St. Manchin.

Content of the Parish
Kilmanaheen is in the barony of Corcomroe and is situated on the road from Miltown-Malbay to Ennis and has got two towns named Ennistymon and Lahinch holding a population 5475 people. It would be an area thgat is full of rock going on the road to loop head and it is another tourist attraction along the west coast of clare.
The Roman Catholic Divisions form part of a union of Ennistymon.
