Hello, my name is Marilyn Price and I live in Melbourne Australia.

My cousin and her son are travelling to Ireland next week for a holiday and they would like to find some information regarding our great grandfather Michael O'Donnell (Born 1834 and died in Australia in 1915) and his parents George (Born 1790) and Mary Anne (Clohesy Born 1797 and also died in Australia in 1878). One source tells us that Michael was born in Kilrush, so we assume George and Mary Anne were living there at that time, but we're not sure if this is completely accurate.

Are you able to assist us with where to locate any further information.

    The Clare Library, clarelibrary.ie, has baptisms for the RC parish of Kilrush dating back to 1827. I looked for Michael's baptism record under both his parents' surnames, but found nothing.
